Dylan Gossett
7:45pm

Dylan Gossett is a 25-year-old singer-songwriter from Austin, Texas. Gossett began writing and recording music during his early teen years using Garage Band on his mother’s computer. Throughout high school, college at Texas A&M, and a job at Formula 1 Racing, music remained Gossett’s true passion. Inspired to finally release music by a new generation of singer-songwriters he saw emerging online, Dylan began posting videos of his songs in April 2023 — immediately, his music struck a chord with a global audience.

Gossett released his first single “To Be Free” (entirely self-written, recorded, produced, and mixed in his bedroom) in June 2023. Shortly thereafter, he teased a snippet of what would become his next song and breakout viral hit “Coal.” The video instantly took off, gaining over one million views within the first week. He quickly got back into his bedroom and created the song from scratch before releasing it in July 2023. Since its release, “Coal” has garnered over 400 million global streams, received Platinum Certifications in the United States, Australia, Canada and Ireland, debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. and the Official Singles Chart Top 100 in the U.K., reached the Top Five on the Country Radio Chart in Australia, and climbed the Spotify U.S. Top 200. The New York Times called “Coal” “one of the year’s best country songs,” and Billboard declared, “‘Coal’ and ‘To Be Free’ position Gossett as a formidable, heart-on-his-sleeve singer-songwriter with immense potential.”

In October 2023, Gossett released his highly anticipated debut EP No Better Time (also self-written, recorded, produced, and mixed in his bedroom) via Big Loud Texas / Mercury Records. The EP received a slew of critical acclaim from The New York TimesBillboardGrammy.comAtwood MagazineMusic RowHollerCountry Central, and more. He then followed it up with his widely praised 2024 EP, Songs In The Gravel, which he wrote and self-produced, while also teaming up with notable producers Eddie Spear and Ian Fitchuk on a few tracks.

On the touring front, this fall Gossett embarked on his headlining The Back 40 Tour. Last spring, his first-ever headline (and international) tour, dubbed the No Better Time Tour, sold-out immediately upon on-sale. Gossett has supported Noah Kahan in arenas across Australia, and Morgan Wallen at Houston’s Minute Maid Park, as well as opened for Wyatt Flores and Brent Cobb on their fall 2023 tours. This year, Gossett’s festival trek includes debuts at SXSW, CMA Fest, Hangout Music Festival, Tortuga Music Festival, Two Step Inn Festival, and more.

Michael Marcagi
6:15pm

Cincinnati singer-songwriter Michael Marcagi’s ascent is a homegrown success story.

With a career built largely through grass roots social media support, the folk-rock singer

has demonstrated that listeners are hungry for earnest storytelling rooted in age-old

American musical traditions. His debut Warner Records EP, American Romance,

expands on that promise, highlighting the timeless sound and engaging sense of

emotional truth that has made Marcagi’s music so immediately compelling.

Marcagi never undermines his listeners or takes them for granted. “Audiences are

usually smarter than the musicians they are listening to,” he says. For him, there’s

plenty of evidence that modern listeners of all generations understand and connect with

specificity and sophistication in songwriting. This is part of why he aspires to remain as

open and approachable as possible—in both his music and his public persona. If what

has happened in his career during the past year is any indication, he may be on to

something. “I want people to feel like they know me,” Marcagi says. “I’ve never really

connected to that mysterious rock band thing—four blurry faces in a field where you

don’t know who the guys are. I don’t want to hide.”

Having opened for artists like Lennon Stella, Dermot Kennedy, COIN and the Band CAMINO, Valley also nearly sold out their first-ever North American headlining tour.

Valley’s latest album was born out of a three year old demo of the LP’s title track and was eventually written while members Rob Laska, Karah James and Alex Dimauro isolated in a cabin with executive producer Chase Lawrence of COIN. This will be the band’s first album without one of the founding members Mickey Brandolino.

Shaggy
8:15pm

Born Orville Richard Burrell and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, Shaggy got his start as an MC in New York City’s burgeoning dancehall scene soon after moving to Brooklyn in his teens. Not long after serving four years in the U.S. Marines (including two tours of duty in the Middle East as part of Operation Desert Storm), he inked his first record deal and quickly scored a global crossover smash with “Oh Carolina.”

As the only diamond-selling dancehall artist in music history, Shaggy, has sold more than 40 million album units to date, in addition to landing eight singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and seven albums on the Billboard 200 (including four in the top 40). He is among the top 3 streamed reggae artists of all time on Spotify (along with Bob Marley & Sean Paul).

Following the album, 44/876 (his collaboration with Sting & winner of Best Reggae Album at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards), Shaggy’s projects include his twelfth studio album Wah Gwaan?!, a 2019 release that amassed over four million streams during its first week on Spotify alone and spent a chunk of that year in the Top 10 on Apple’s iTunes Reggae chart. That project was followed by the release of Hot Shot 2020, commemorating the 20th anniversary of his diamond-selling album, which included re-recorded, modernized versions of the biggest hits and most beloved fan favorites across Shaggy’s catalog.

That year also saw the massive success of his viral hit, “Banana” with fellow Jamaican artist, Conkarah, garnering over 2 billion streams and spawning 50+ million Tik Tok videos with over 5 billion video views for the #bananadrop challenge!

Shaggy finished out the year with the release of Christmas in the Islands – a quintessential reggae Christmas themed collection that puts a Caribbean twist on traditional Christmas cheer featuring island-infused holiday songs with guest performances from Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Junior Reid, Ne-Yo, Romain Virgo, Ritchie Stephens, Conkarah, Joss Stone & others. The deluxe edition has 4 newly recorded songs including “Amazing Christmas” featuring up-and-coming singer/songwriter/producer, Hannah Brier and a duet with Sting for a reggae version of the classic, “Silent Night.”

At the top of 2021, Shaggy was featured in a Cheetos commercial during Super Bowl LV alongside Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher; the spot was one of the highest-rated ads in Superbowl history.

Shaggy’s next collaboration– “Go Down Deh” with fellow reggae icon Sean Paul and the Queen of Dancehall, Spice – dominated the global reggae charts upon release. The iconic Jamaican trio performed their smash hit on a trio of National television shows including Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series (InterviewGo Down Deh Performance & Medley Performance)Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Wendy Williams Show (Interview & Performance). The track, produced by Shaggy, was followed by Spice’s long-awaited debut album, TEN, which Shaggy co-wrote and executive produced. The album received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Reggae album.

Last year, Shaggy hosted a weekly radio show, Shaggy’s Yaad, on SiriusXM FLY. The program featured a wide range of contemporary, rare and classic tracks spanning the hip hop, dancehall and reggae genres with insights from Shaggy about the musical history of his Jamaican homeland and its global impact.

Fresh off his Grammy Award nomination for producing and co-writing Spice’s groundbreaking album, Shaggy released a new single, “Mi Nuh Know.” The track interpolates “Wah-Do-Dem,” the infectious tune by fellow Jamaican “singjay” artist, Eek-A-Mouse and is available on all digital platforms with the correlating music video, directed by Jay Will, also out now.

Following his reveal as Space Bunny on Fox’s The Masked Singer, Shaggy released a new, modern version of “Jump in the Line” (Listen HERE). Hailed “The most entertaining contestant on Season 7,” by MSN, “Space Bunny delivered an out-of-this-world performance in his first appearance on the April 20 episode with a cover of the Harry Belafonte classic, “Jump in the Line. And he followed up on April 27 with a silky-smooth cover of “All Night Long (All Night)” by Lionel Richie.”

Earlier this year, Shaggy was honored by the Third Street Music School Settlement – the nation’s longest running community music school – with the “Distinguished Artist” award. And, on May 28, he received an honorary degree from Brown University and delivered the honorary degree oration at their Undergraduate Class of 2020 Commencement Ceremony.

Following the Grammy Award for their collaborative album, 44/876, Sting and Shaggy, both managed by Martin/Kierszenbaum/Cherrytree Music Company, have joined forces again for Com Fly Wid Mi. The album, produced by 17-time Grammy Award winner Sting, features Shaggy singing the Sinatra songbook in a reggae style and just received a Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Album. The music video for the first single, “That’s Life,” directed by Jay Will (Sean Paul, Major Lazer, Lee Scratch Perry), offers an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at the iconic pair while making the album. To celebrate the album’s release, Shaggy performed the album in full at a limited access, one night only concert at the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City. A music video for “Luck Be a Lady” – another track off the album – was captured during this special performance.

The album, Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection has been certified gold in the UK.

Not only a multi-award-winning songwriter and hitmaker, Shaggy has also long used his platform to strengthen his community and homeland. In 2009, he established the Shaggy Make a Difference Foundation and organized the first of many, Shaggy & Friends benefit concerts, which to date have raised millions for the Bustamante Children’s Hospital (the Caribbean’s only English-speaking children’s hospital, located in Kingston).

Afroman
6:00pm

Afroman’s musical career began in the eighth grade, when he began recording homemade songs and selling them to his classmates.[2] “The first tape I made was about my eighth-grade teacher,” he once recalled. “She got me kicked out of school for sagging my pants, which was a big deal back then. So I wrote this song about her and it sold about 400 copies: it was selling to teachers, students, just about everybody. And I realized that, even though I wasn’t at school, my song was at school, so in a way I was still there. All these people would come by my house just to give me comments about how cool they thought the song was.”[3] Foreman also performed in his church at a young age, playing both the drums and guitar.[2] In 1998, Afroman released his first album, My Fro-losophy and later relocated to Hattiesburg, Mississippi,[2] where he met drummer Jody Stallone, keyboardist/bassist Darrell Havard and pro-ducer Tim Ramenofsky (a.k.a. Headfridge). Ramenofsky produced and released Afroman’s album Because I Got High in 2000 on T-Bones Records; it was distributed primarily through concerts and the file-sharing service Napster before its title track was played on The Howard Stern Show. Afroman was inspired to write the song’s lyrical content by his unwillingness to clean his room, and he ran with the idea of everyday tasks being derailed by drug use.[2] In late 2001, the song became a hit and was featured in the films Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, The Perfect Score, and Disturbia later in the 2000s. “Because I Got High” was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance in 2002.[4] After the single’s success, Afroman joined the lineup of Cypress Hill’s fall festival “Smoke Out” with the Deftones, Method Man, and others.[5] After this, Universal Records signed Afroman to a six-album deal, and Universal released The Good Times in 2001. The Good Times was a compila-tion of Afroman’s first two albums and some new tracks.[2] Afroman started releasing his music independently and mostly through the Internet in 2004,[2] and that year, he recorded Jobe Bells, which satirized traditional Christmas songs.[6] Afroman was part of the 2010 Gathering of the Juggalos lineup.[7] In October 2014, Afroman released a remix of his hit song “Because I Got High” in order to highlight the usefulness of marijuana as part of the effort to legalize its sale across the United States. In January of 2021 Afroman Signed with Revolutionary Record Label, Cosmic Wire. Owned and Operated by Artist/Producer BLAZAR (Jerad Finck), and growth hacking expert BJ Klock, their first single “WHOLEthing” was released as a precursor to his upcoming album release.

Three Days Grace
9:30pm

Here we…here we…here we fucking go…”  So begins Three Days Grace’s new album, Λ𝖫𝖨𝖤𝖭Λ𝖳𝖨Ø𝖭, on the opening track, “Dominate,” a crushing victory of a song that sets the tone for the multiplatinum Canadian rock group which has dominated the Mediabase and Billboard rock charts over the last two decades with 20 and 19 No. 1 singles, respectively, and excitedly welcomes the return of original lead singer Adam Gontier co-fronting the band with his successor, Matt Walst.

“Matt was one of the biggest advocates to bring Adam back,” says Three Days Grace bassist Brad Walst, Matt’s older brother by six years. “Matt really understands our fanbase and just how dedicated they are. He’s like, ‘The fans deserve this.’ Matt has been in the band over a decade, and we gained a lot of new fans because of his past success with My Darkest Days, but there’s still a lot of people that haven’t seen Adam.”

“We’re from the same town; we grew up the same way; we’re cut from the same cloth,” says Matt of how well he gels with Adam both in the studio and on stage. “We’re more similar than not. I don’t think there’s any Three Days Grace song of mine that he won’t sing or I won’t sing of his. It’s been a lot of fun to hear him sing ‘I Am Machine’ live on harmonies,

and the second verse on ‘So Called Life.’” 3DG started touring with Adam in February and are booked solid through the end of 2025 with further dates in the US, Europe and UK.

Even before the late August release of Λ𝖫𝖨𝖤𝖭Λ𝖳𝖨Ø𝖭, the first two singles off the new album reached No. 1 at radio, “MAYDAY,” the first single with Adam and Matt, a commentary on the chaos of the world and “Apologies,” an earnest reflection on your shortcomings. Their immediate chart success validated that this new chapter of Three Days Grace is as strong as their first two, and fans were stoked to have both singers lead the band, alongside Brad, drummer Neil Sanderson and guitarist Barry Stock.

It’s a move that has never been done before in rock history on a permanent basis, and it has yielded 12 new songs that seamlessly fit with the 3DG’s award-winning catalogue of seven studio albums: Three Days Grace (2003), One-X (2006), Life Starts Now (2009), and Transit of Venus (2012), helmed by Adam; then Human (2015), Outsider (2018) and Explosions (2022), helmed by Matt.

“Matt had gone through the ringer taking over when he did,” says Adam, who kept tabs on Three Days Grace after he left in early 2013 and went on to form the equally intense Saint Asonia and release two albums. “To be able to step in like he did was pretty amazing. So, yeah, I followed them, and I really liked what they were doing. There’s a lot of songs that they put out that I really love, like ‘The Mountain’ and ‘Lifetime.’ The songs definitely had the same feel as mine, and the lyrics had a common thread.”

Growing up in Norwood, Ontario, a township of Peterborough, Ontario, Adam knew Matt since he was about eight years old after becoming fast friends with Brad at age 14. He recalls he was a “firecracker,” always around when he’d come to the house to hang out or have dinner. “He had a lot of energy,” he laughs.

With little to do in a town with a population of about 1300, Matt was eager to follow in his older brother’s rock footsteps and was such an obvious talent that he co-wrote two songs, “Scared” and “Let You Down,” on Three Days Grace’s major label debut when he was just 19. He started My Darkest Days two years later, which released two albums on Chad Kroeger’s label, then stepped in for Three Days Grace in 2013 after Adam abruptly left so that the band could fulfil a tour commitment with Shinedown and P.O.D.

As expected, they didn’t stay in touch.

Brad and Adam ran into each other in their hometown of Peterborough during covid — Adam now lives in Nashville — but the idea to bring him back into Three Days Grace actually came from Matt, who thought it would be cool. One day, Brad gave Adam a ring to see if he would be interested. He was.

“We had started touring Explosions, so of course we had to finish that record cycle,” says Barry. Then, when Matt and Neil were shooting the video for 2022’s “Lifetime,” on-site in Mayfield, Kentucky, which had been destroyed by a tornado, Neil called Adam and arranged to meet for coffee.

“We hadn’t talked in a very long time, and it was all positive,” says Neil. “We’re both very humbled by the success that the band has had over the years. I’m lucky that I’m in a group of guys with no ego. We had coffee, had a great chat, talked about how we could do something amazing. How cool would that be? That was that. It was on.”

A year passed, then in secret they made plans to bring Adam out onstage in Huntsville, Alabama at Propst Arena — April 19, 2023, to be exact — to sing the last two songs of the set. The fans didn’t see it coming; it blew their minds.  “It was so fun to see the crowd reaction. It just solidified what we had been talking about potentially doing,” says Neil.

“It felt pretty amazing to get up with them,” says Adam. “It was definitely a bit nerve-wracking before the first one, waiting to go on, but it went really well. The crowd, they just freaked out; it was pretty awesome.  What was more important, though, was just getting together with everybody and hanging out and talking and getting familiar with everybody again.”

“You gotta remember, all of these things are just ideas that we’re pondering until we actually put it into action,” Neil points out of any official reunion.

That October, Adam joined them onstage again for three songs at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium.

The following May, 2024, all five of them met at Barry’s place in southern Indiana, not too far from where Adam lives and an easy flight for Matt, Brad and Neil.

“Barry’ s got a beautiful estate down there with lots of race cars. He’s got a studio and a cabin and the five of us just decided the first thing we need to do is go hang out. Let’s hang out like we used to around a bonfire, acoustic guitars, have some laughs, tell some stories,” says Neil.

They wrote “MAYDAY” and “Apologies.” Things were rolling. They met there again in July.

“It’s been amazing with him back,” says Barry. “it’s honestly like we’ve been doing it all along, from the moment last year when we came here to my place. The first time I think was May and, honestly, it was quick hugs. ‘How you doing? How you been?’ And then we just got right to work, and it went surprisingly well, like we always do. We always write together, and we just got right back into mode, and everybody was in the right headspace and excited. It was cool.Right out of the gate we were knocking out some pretty cool songs.”

Adds Neil, “It was just like old times. We got right into the rhythm, sharing ideas, collaborating, with the common goal of best idea wins.”

“We sat down with our acoustic guitars, and it really felt like we had been doing it for years,” echoes Adam, “which we had been, it was just a bunch of years removed, I guess, just back in the room with the guys, and we all were just wanting to try to write the best things we could. It was a great vibe.”

The following month, they rented an Airbnb in Franklin, Tennessee, just outside Nashville, and got together to write new material, drawing on themes of mental health, addiction, death, nostalgia, youth, self-destruction, and, of course, the uncertainty of romantic relationships, then laid down songs in September.

On October 2, 2023, Three Days Grace lit up their socials by creating a teaser phone message of Adam calling Matt saying he’s “running a few minutes behind but I will be at the studio soon.” The next day came the official announcement: “We’re excited to announce the official return of Adam Gontier to vocals in Three Days Grace, with Matt Walst remaining as a lead vocalist, as well.” Fans were ecstatic.

“MAYDAY” was the first teaser of what was to come, the debut of Matt and Adam, in November, while they finished up the album.

“We all felt we needed to write a song that was a commentary on the state of the world at the time. There was a lot happening. A lot of chaos. There still is really,” says Adam. “Kind of feels like we’re all on this ride through life together, but we don’t know who’s in charge.  But in the end, there’s no giving up. We’ve got to battle through.

“When the song came out, and it was No. 1, it was a huge moment,” he adds. “Everybody was so excited.”

They returned to Franklin in December to write some more and finished up the recording in January 2025. At the helm throughout were three producers, long-time 3DG collaborator Howard Benson, Zakk Cervini (Blink-182’s Grammy-nominated California) and Dan Lancaster (Bring Me The Horizon, Blink-182), cutting an album that balances such industrial strength rockers as “Power,” “In Cold Blood,” “Deathwish,” “In Waves” and “Another Relapse” with the empowering acoustic-built dirge “Never Ordinary,” about understanding that everybody has struggles; the grungy wistful pop ballad “Don’t Wanna Go Home Tonight,” about the freedom of youth; and “Kill Me Fast,” a stunning plea for a quick and painless breakup.

The band has been playing sold-out arenas since February, including a hometown show at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage, and from his “perch,” as Neil calls it, behind the kit, he says, “I have a good view of everything that’s going on. I can see the whole band in front of me. I just look at that and go, ‘Wow, if there is fate, then this is probably that.’ Having Adam back in the band with Matt was meant to be.”

I Prevail
7:45pm

Since forming in Metro Detroit, Michigan in 2013, metalcore/post-hardcore outfit I

Prevail have enjoyed vast amounts of critical and commercial success. Their first album,

2016’s Lifelines, achieved gold status in both the US and Canada, while

2019’s TRAUMA repeated that accomplishment in Canada. The latter was nominated

for Best Rock Album at that year’s Grammys, with single “Bow Down” also a contender

for Best Metal Performance. 2022’s TRUE POWER saw the band continue to forge their

own musical path, refusing to conform to the expectations of the genre.

Now, with their fourth album Violent Nature, the band have taken that to the next level.

Recorded in two stints at Blackbird Studios in Nashville, it was self-produced under the

guidance of bassist and keyboardist Jon Eberhard. It also marks vocalist Eric

Vanlerberghe’s first foray as the only singer of the band, tackling both clean and

unclean vocals. It goes hard. The album’s first single, also called “Violent Nature,” is

possibly the most brutal, extreme and ferocious song the band have ever released.

Not everything is quite as brutal or intense, however. Though single “Rain” is far from

mellow, the song’s powerful, anthemic chorus feels like a lullaby in comparison, despite

hints of that same anger and torment in its lyrics. Nevertheless, it exemplifies the two

very different sides of this album, and the opposing forces that weave their way through

it.

Welcome, then, to the new era of I Prevail. Not only is this the best version of the band

to date, but it bristles with intention, passion and energy.
